God was telling me I could do this
Rosa first visited the Pregnancy Center during her initial pregnancy and had a deeply positive experience.
“They made me feel very welcome, confident, and comfortable with what was ahead. It was a great experience.”
Later, Rosa and her fiancé were thrilled to learn they were expecting another child. But a few months into the pregnancy, Rosa discovered her fiancé had been unfaithful.
“I was in shock. I didn’t know how to feel about the pregnancy. I didn’t think I could do it alone. I knew having another child would increase the stress—and the ‘mom guilt’ we all experience. I was pretty set on having an abortion. I had made up my mind.”
Rosa scheduled an appointment with an abortion provider. But when she arrived at the clinic, something changed.
“I started to panic. I heard the baby’s heartbeat again, and I just couldn’t go through with it. Honestly, I think it was a sign from God—telling me I could do this.”
Since then, the Pregnancy Center has continued to be a source of strength for Rosa.
“They’ve helped me in so many ways. I go to therapy at the center every two weeks. They’ve helped me grow closer to God. They made me feel completely accepted, without judgment.”
