Bri's Story

“I was really tired of the hold it had over me. I was tired of waking up everyday being worried about how I was going to get high. I was talking to a friend and said the only way I’m going to quit using is if I end up pregnant, in jail or if I die. I had pretty much just reached that point in my life where I didn’t care what happened to me.

The day Bri found out she was pregnant, her life changed forever.

“I felt so many emotions; guilt, shame, sadness, anger. It wasn’t something I had expected, but I believe it’s exactly what I needed. I quit cold turkey. That day I realized it wasn’t just about me anymore.”

A few weeks later, Bri came to the Pregnancy Center. She received a free ultrasound that revealed she was carrying not just one child, but three! When Bri chose life for her identical triplets, she also chose life for herself.

“The women at the Pregnancy Center were so supportive. They went over my options, all with unbiased information. Every time we went to a class, they had little gifts on the table. They show you how to give your baby a bath and give all kinds of information. I was also able to get diapers and wipes when we needed them.

“It’s not easy every day, but I feel like this life is a lot easier than the life I was leading before becoming pregnant. My children have taught me the true meaning of love and selflessness. Now each morning I wake up to our beautiful children reaching up for me. Never has my heart felt more full. I may have given our babies life, but they truly saved mine.

“Every day with my children is a gift.”

“I gave our babies life, but THEY TRULY SAVED MINE.”
