“I took a pregnancy test and within an hour I was at the Pregnancy Center because I knew I needed them. The second they pulled her up on the screen, I saw her heart beating – it was so fast. I knew right away that I had to keep her.
“I texted the dad and told him I was pregnant. He said, ‘What are you going to do about it?’
“When I told him I was going to keep the baby, he said, ‘It’s not even a baby right now, it’s the size of a seed.’ I told him, ‘She’s actually the size of a blueberry right now. She is alive and I saw her heartbeat.’ And, he’s never asked about her again. “If the Pregnancy Center wasn’t there and I didn’t see my baby that first day I went in – I’m not saying I would have gotten an abortion, but it definitely crossed my mind when I had someone tell me that I’m not going to be able to do it.
“The Pregnancy Center helped me find a doctor because I hadn’t told my mom yet. And every few weeks I would get texts or calls asking how I’m doing.
“Being a mom is nothing like I ever imagined. I’m not going to say it’s easy, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. She’s such a happy girl. Ever since she was born, she’s been such a blessing to me and my family.”
